Glad you answered the immidiat asked question about Luigi
Glad ya like this! Thanks for favin'!
BTW i like how you explained yourself on your reply from May 1, 2012
I had carefully considered my casting choice. It wasn't just a random match up of actor and game character. I also like to write words. Lots of them.
First off, if we're going to get into the size of the actors, Trejo wouldn't work for either as Mario and Luigi are not muscular. Tall or short is only a small portion of what makes Mario and Luigi who they are. Luigi is tall and lanky, basically the exact opposite of Mario.
Secondly, since the whole point was to cast an actor that just didn't make sense, thus hopefully achieving a humorous image, then I stand by my choice as Marin as Luigi. You just don't think Marin when you think Luigi.
Thirdly, Luigi is the side kick, not the hero. If Trejo and Marin are in a movie together, Trejo is going to be the hero. Unless it's a straight up comedy, in which case it would be more about the humor of having Marin be a hero and Trejo a sidekick. So, the whole body size is unimportant in that case, it's what we expect of those two actors.
Fourth, I chose Marin because he is always in the same movie as Trejo. There are always those Mexicans you see doing stuff. From Dusk Til Dawn, El Mariachi trilogy, Machete, (basically anything by Tarantino or Rodriguez). It was immediately obvious to me he would be in the movie, and unless he's a bit character or Princess Peach, it made sense to make him Luigi.
Fifthly, you shouldn't take this rebuttal too seriously. However, you did question my casting logic on a drawing where I have Trejo as Mario. It required me to give you a hard time.
I see you faved my Mega Man Buscemi piece (thank you), but not this one? You must collect the set!
